General Information for Events During COVID-19
The catering for all functions is provided by Royal Scot. At this time we will not be doing buffets, all food will be plated and served to your guests. All food and beverage purchases are subject to an 20% service charge and 6% sales tax. Prices are subject to change without notice.
It is our policy that we be notified two weeks prior to event with your menu selection and number of attendees. Food will be brought out at the time you requested. On the day of your event should your group run late, for every half hour we must hold the food, you will be charged a fee of $50.00.
Royal Scot does not supply cake plates or forks. For an additional $0.50 per person we will provide them to cover the cost of maintenance.
Cake service is available for $1.00 per person and this includes cutting and serving of the cake with china plates and silverware.
Beer and Liquor
Royal Scot is licensed through the State of Michigan to sell beer and liquor and we are required to enforce all laws pertaining to the license. Royal Scot is responsible for the administration of the sale and service of alcoholic beverages in accordance to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulations. Therefore, all beverages and alcohol MUST be purchased through Royal Scot. Any persons found bringing in alcoholic beverages or contributing to the consumption of alcohol by a minor will be asked to leave the premises and runs the risk of having the event shut down with full payment of event required. Service of alcoholic beverages require the proper ID. The banquet staff reserves the right to shut down any bar if general behavior of group is deemed detrimental to staff, guests or if any laws are being broken.
Per our policy, all Bars will be closed by 11:45pm. There will be proper signage visible to all guests located on the Bar stating the hours the bar will be in operation.
Due to product liability issues, we cannot permit any food produced through our catering department to leave the premises. Michigan State Law prohibits alcoholic beverages purchased through Royal Scot to be removed from the premises.
Royal Scot reserves the right to inspect and control all functions being held on the premises. Damages or stolen property will result in additional charges, replace or repair. Royal Scot is not responsible for any loss of materials, equipment, or personal belongings left behind or left unattended. All items left behind more than five days becomes the property of Royal Scot.
Royal Scot cannot be held liable of non-performance of this contract when such non-performance is attributable to strikes, accidents, Government regulations and/or restrictions upon travel or transportation, national emergencies, Acts of God, and other causes which are beyond the reasonable control of Royal Scot.
Absolutely no tape, tacks, nails, staples or like adhesive materials are to be used on the walls, ceilings, tables or blinds.
Throwing of rice, confetti, and birdseed is prohibited.
Glitter or any like materials is prohibited.
Items are not to be hung from the chandeliers at any time.
Bands and D.J.’s must stop playing at Midnight.
The room will be vacated by 1:00am.
A deposit is required to reserve a date for all events. Deposits may be made by payment of cash, check, credit/debit card or money order. All checks must have an address, phone number and driver’s license on them. The deposit required is the cost of the Room Rental. All balances are to be paid no later than the day of the event. All unpaid bills are subject to a 1.5% service charge per month.
Deposits are refundable ONLY with a six months prior written notice. If it becomes necessary for the party to change the original reservation, the party’s deposit will be honored for the new reservation: however, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
Royal Scot Room Rental Information
We have four rooms available to rent:
South Room – Rents for $350.00 and will hold up to 45 people and is located upstairs. This room is perfect for work meetings, baby and bridal showers. This room requires a minimum food purchase of $500.00.
19th Hole Room – Rents for $550.00 and will hold up to 60 people and is located downstairs. This room is perfect for larger work meetings, open houses, birthday parties and smaller wedding receptions. This room requires a minimum food purchase of $1,000.00.
North Room – Rents for $900.00 and will hold up to 125 people and is located upstairs. This room is perfect for wedding receptions, large company meetings, fundraising events and seminars. This room requires a minimum food purchase of $1,500.00.
Whole Room – Rents for $1,100.00 and will hold up to 225 people and is located upstairs. This room is perfect for wedding receptions, trade shows, large company meetings and fundraising events. This room requires a minimum food purchase of $2,000.00
All room prices include a full Banquet Staff: servers, bartenders and chefs. Linens, cloth napkins, flatware, china and glassware are also included in the cost of the room.
All Alcohol MUST be purchased through Royal Scot. We provide Bartenders at no additional fee.
